The making of the film THE BOOK OF LIFE by Felipe Barral & Corian Ellisor

We documented the making of the film “The Book of Life”. This is an original movie created for Dances Made to Order, Atlanta edition, April 2012. Filmmaker Felipe Barral collaborated with choreographer Corian Ellisor.

The massive making of the film “The Book of Life” took 46 hour in one week (without counting many hours of thinking, rehearsing and pre-planning).

Those 46 hours involved:
– 10 hours of filming and directing
– 21 and half hours of editing and video post-production & graphics
– 3 and a half hours of studio recording for the original score
– 11 hours for sound design, sound mixing and audio post-production

This film is a unique visual journey. Here you have a short synopsis of “The Book of Life”:

Being lives his life like a tarnished book, dragging his chapters endlessly searching for answers. In a poetic dream he discovers there is no luck and fortune in our existence. Life sets him free from temptation and seduction, and ask him to write his own path… knowing there is no price for life.
